Adolescent girls are locked out of opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math — not for lack of talent or ambition — but because they are girls,” said #UnitedNations Secretary-General @antonioguterres.⠀

The #COVID19 crisis is further threatening decades of progress made towards gender equality, putting more than 11 million girls at risk of not returning to school.⠀

Air pollution damages our planet’s ecosystems & biodiversity. It decreases the oxygen supply in our oceans, increases the vulnerability of species on our planet, makes it harder for plants to grow & contributes to the #ClimateCrisis.
To #ClearTheAir we can adopt a more plant-based diet 🥕, plant tress 🌳 & expand green spaces🌱. Taking action to ensure #CleanAirForAll is also taking action #ForNature & #ClimateAction.

Children are especially vulnerable during fetal development and in their earliest years, while their lungs, organs and brains are still maturing. The consequences of their exposure to air pollution – through inhalation, ingestion or in utero – can lead to illness and can face a lifetime of health impacts.
We must take action to #ClearTheAir to achieve #CleanAirForAll, including calling on leaders to adopt national air quality standards consistent with @who guidelines.
