Aislinn Paul Instagram – I stood on this very rooftop 11 years ago, daunted by the adventure I was embarking on with @metowe and the Degrassi cast.
That trip changed my life, and working with @wemovement over the past decade has helped shape the person I’ve become. It was such an overwhelming privilege to be back in the same place and reflect on the kid I was. Since then I’ve travelled to so many more places; conquered my stage fright (mostly) by speaking at WE Days because the message was so much more important than my fear; and, most importantly, I’ve realized that volunteering & giving back is an impossible magic, where no matter how much you put in you are getting so much more out. I’ll forever be indebted to 14 year old me for saying yes to that trip despite her reservations, and I hope I can continue to grow into someone she would be proud of.
