Avika Gor Instagram – “Don’t try to fit in, when you were born to stand out”

Do you ever find yourself chilling with a set of friends & you realise that they aren’t much like you? And then do you try to do things that you think would be “cool” in this group, just to fit in? Scared of being alone maybe?
I can understand that feeling, I think we all can. We all have felt “less than” or different in some group & we start to pretend/adapt. But, I’ve come to realise that you can’t force the pieces together that don’t fit. There are a lot of different people around us & some are more alike than the others. So, instead of changing yourself (especially the good things about you) I would urge you to find the right people, who make you feel like you belong. It might take some time, since it’s a trial & error process, but when you find these people, you will know.

Find the people who help you grow(not shrink) in life & when you find them, embrace & nourish the relationship. After all, it’s as much about giving back to the relationship as it is about taking.
