Dilshad Vadsaria Instagram – Hey all. Starting tomorrow I’ll be highlighting someone, here and on my blog, once a month. I’m doing this for a few reasons. One of them is to fight hate speech. The other is that there are people all around us who are doing incredible things but we get carried away with news & media which make us think otherwise.

Though hate speech is protected under our constitution, the damage it does in harming and de-humanizing another person is immense. You can spew hateful rhetoric at the dinner table in front of your kids and not cringe or cringe if someone even says the word Arab in a conversation and everything in between.

I can’t make someone stop hating but I can push back in my own small way.

I hope you’ll tune in, listen, read and be inspired by people who, despite and in-spite of what is happening in the world on so many levels, are pushing forward and doing good.

I hope you’ll see their humanity and understand we are more connected than apart, regardless of the shell we walk around in for the length of our existence on this planet.
