These metal crates keep pregnant and nursing pigs completely immobilized their entire lives; unable to meet their natural desire to love, nurture, and protect their young. The official “cause” of the fire may be ruled as faulty electricity. But these animals endured a horrifying life and death because of our addiction to eating their body parts. We must do better than this. Factory farms are a result of how we consume. 💔
