Megan Follows Instagram – I was away from home on Rememberance day. Quarantining in isolation I did not get to pin my red flower on to my jacket. Today Looking down I saw that Someone’s poppy had fallen, and It looked so vulnerable disgaurded there on the floor. And I remembered what I’d found just a few weeks earlier when I was going through a drawer in my mothers house full of old photographs and papers. I found A letter. A letter that must have broken a family’s heart. My Grandfather was too young to go to war in 1914 but his only older brother was not. And never came home. My grandmother lost three of her brothers. The last image is of her older brother Ross. I wonder who these young men and so many thousands of others would have grown up to be. And I think of their mothers and the agony they felt receiving that letter from their King. So I pay my respects to all who have sacrificed so much. #peace #remembranceday #thewartoendallwars #love | Posted on 13/Nov/2020 11:10:24
