Molly C. Quinn Instagram – Yesterday, while Elan, our friend Peter, and I were having an amazing ski day in the mountains of Hokkaido, Japan, Elan suggested we take a photo to commemorate the trip. Something he always makes sure to do. But then, things started to get odd. He was taking off his skis… and helmet… and looking at me with a mixture of total love, fear, and vulnerability. I turned to see what was taking Peter so long because I was freezing and refusing to take any gear off… and I see Peter, also with skis off, running into the middle of the slope with his phone out. I turned back to Elan, he reached his hand into his inside jacket pocket, I screamed “NO!” Elan helped me take my helmet and gloves off, he got down on one knee, and I said “YES!” at least a hundred times. I am still surprised and in awe of the perfection of the moment. I am in love and we are ENGAGED!
