Rosaline Elbay Instagram – Instagram says that I wore this dress a year ago, which goes to show how long 2020 has felt. It was crafted over two months by the amazing displaced women from @nilfurat, a @made51_unhcr @unhcregypt organisation that works with women who have fled various countries along the Nile and Euphrates rivers.
The feather motifs were hand-shaped using a recycled plastic fabric created by @upfuse, a social enterprise working with women from Manshiyet Nasser. They were crafted out of over 800 plastic bags.
