Bryan Konietzko Instagram – As luck would have it, I was in New York City yesterday. People filled the streets and an incredible sense of relief was in the air. Spontaneous waves of cheering and clapping rippled through Central Park all afternoon. You could tell people were smiling behind their masks. Even the dogs seemed to sense the lift in the collective mood of the city. It wasn’t as if all the country’s problems had somehow magically been solved, but it was a welcome reprieve if only for one beautiful fall day. Obviously, there are tough roads ahead, and long-overdue reckonings in white America… but at least now there’s a better chance to achieve progress. Thanks to all the tireless efforts of the organizers — particularly in BIPOC communities — to register, educate, and motivate people to vote in this absolutely crucial election.
