I have always found rituals and traditions like these to be very comforting. In my sphere of things, they are in many ways a bridge between the old and the new ways of thinking and living. Rather than be averse and antipathetic, I have always looked at how to evolve and adapt for a more harmonious way of life.
Every year, I celebrate Karwa Chauth with my family and friends. This ritual brings a new colour to my relationships, especially with my mother-in-law. It’s become a tradition to celebrate it together and I actually look forward to the day and what it entails, especially when we all come together. For me, it’s about this sisterhood we have created, being grateful for the beautiful bond my husband and I share and of course the opportunity to be pampered throughout the day. Do what makes you happy!

The world as you know it, can be changed in the blink of an eye… something that was cemented in my brain over the last few years, especially in 2020. So when life throws that yorker, you have to find a new way to move forward. So, with all my concerns and insecurities packed into my handbag, I ventured out with my boys to watch a film, in a theatre after what feels like a lifetime!
And wow, it was good to be back! I was comforted by the fact that the cinema halls were taking every precaution and that everyone else around, at least last night, were also taking it in the right spirit and being safe.
The film industry, like all others, has been through a tough year and yesterday as I watched the opening credits roll on to the screen, I hoped that we would all find our way to a better tomorrow… or so a night at the movies, makes me believe! #Tenet #ChristopherNolan
