On August 29 of 1970, over 20,000 people protested against the Vietnam War. Most of the protesters were Mexican-Americans outraged by the disproportionate number of deaths of their fellow Chicanos in the war. This peaceful protest turned deadly when the sheriff’s deputies attacked the demonstrators and used violence to disperse the crowds. Among the dead, were Angel Díaz, Lynn Ward, and Rubén Salazar, a well known award-winning Chicano journalist. Photographers unknown. Manny Montana Instagram – These guys didn’t wait for a writer to write for them. They didn’t wait for a studio to back them, a casting director to cast them…
They went out and put up all the money they could get and any grant they could find, and made a BEAUTIFUL film!!
God bless and congratulations!! Be on the lookout for this amazing film!

Manny Montana Instagram – This man helped me through a tough time in my life. Work was great, money was great, but it was a time in my life I felt so alone. I was working on a show out of town and I had no family or real friends around me. My great friend @guvnorsboxingclub told me to go check this gym out. And for the rest of my year there I was there EVERYDAY, rain or shine. I became family with Djinji @solbox_fc It was bigger than boxing. Sometimes we’d sit there and talk for hours. And all of a sudden I didn’t feel so alone anymore… god bless this man, his gym, family, friends and everyone in our universe. Thank you for this video.
