Regé-Jean Page Instagram – Luke Thompson drew us portraits as wrap gifts. Luke is one of those people who is just so instinctively generous with the gifts he has at his disposal to delight and enrich those around him. This would be more extraordinary, if here weren’t surrounded by this very spirit in all the hundreds of people who came together to make the incredible explosion of playful glamour and romance that is Bridgerton. It takes a village. A city more like. And so many people deserve to be proud of the countless hours and endless heart they gave to make sure we all had this show – but here is a very brief and incomplete sample of my own personal awe and gratitude to our village of bright, generous people. I’m grateful, for Hannah’s undefeatable umbrella-and-smile combo on the coldest mornings and Pete’s haversack of snacks. Wardrobe with their save-the-day heat packs, Hair & Makeup who brought the Diet Coke and puppy love. Every. Single. Person. from the coffee caravan who kept the largest cast & crew I’ve ever seen caffeinated up around the clock. Also, Pete’s haversack of snacks. Grateful for whoever chose the playlists in the cafeteria and grateful that I could trim my beard in bathrooms far too fancy to trim beards in. Saloum. Grateful for the zen den production office and their Muji room diffuser, and to everyone who gathered around the monitor to watch us make it rain. There was not one dry eye. And oh my god, Pete’s snacks. Thank god for the snacks. It took a village. I hope everyone feels less alone and a little closer to being seen because of our love story this Christmas. I know I do.
