Alexandra Munroe Instagram – Distinguished scholar Xu Zhangrun was detained this week in Beijing. I had just mentioned him in my @artnet interview, recommending his erudite critique as the most cogent analysis of China today. On top of Hong Kong news, this disappearance does not bode well for human rights in China.
