Sonequa Martin-Green Instagram – This is my Uncle. We called him Uncle Man. Today was his birthday. He left us just a few weeks ago. We’re all utterly devastated. This man was one of the most truly Christ-like people I have ever known. How blessed I was to grow up with his example. All my life, at so many points of my life, his example would come to me. “What would Uncle do? What would Uncle advise? How does he love so effortlessly?” Did I ever actually tell him that? Never before have I understood what it means to honor someone’s memory like I do now. I will remember you as I reach for Love Uncle Man. You helped shape me, even if you didn’t know all the ways. I pray you know my full heart now. I celebrate and honor you today and always. I love you. 🙏🏽♥️
