Brad William Henke Instagram – This picture here let me tell you, I took this rookie year with MTV VJ, @downtownjuliebrown, and I was doing well on special-teams and sometimes as a pass rusher, so it was cool to be acknowledged.
Since I was eight years old, I worked just about every day to be a football player, and my family was so supportive. As I got older, I realized it’s really about the support you get from the people around you, my grandpa welded me a leg press, and my dad picked up a blocking sled that they were giving away at the high school, and I used those every day.
It’s funny because when I went to the Super Bowl , I was like, “this is it” ?- I have been working all my life, and I didn’t feel like I thought it would feel- I thought it would feel like when I walk onto a movie set or TV set like the most exciting thing in my life, but it didn’t.
It wasn’t until later that I realized acting was my true passion, but ill always love football because it made way for me to get a college education and taught me discipline, handling disappointment, working through everything, and taking criticism. Football helped me then, and the lessons I learned still help me. So I thank God that that point in my life has led me to acting, which is the biggest gift of all.
