Ariel Yasmine Instagram – This past year has been absolutely unbelievable. I think that it is the best way to describe it. It was filled with some strong highs and very lows. Social media is such a façade and I keep much of the details in my life private. I had the blessing of having two movies come out this year, one I filmed during quarantine and the other is now on Netflix. I painted a lot more and I picked up crocheting again which was a great stress reliever. This year also took a lot not just from me but my entire family. I lost my highest paying job of the year twice. One of my cousins was shot in the head by a protester, and luckily he survived but the bullet is still there. My 15 year old Schnauzer passed away from cancer which left me so heartbroken that I had to go to the hospital for pain in my chest. Just a couple of weeks ago we lost one of my other cousins to suicide. It has left my family absolutely devastated and in a sense of shock. Just earlier this year I cooked and made pina coladas for him and heard him play guitar. So I guess right now I’m in this weird uncertain state and trying to heal from all of the insane events in my life this year. It has certainly been a test of faith. This is just in my life and I know that so many people have similar circumstances. What became two weeks to slow the spread has followed us into 2021. Many are still without jobs and we just want to work and not depend on the government. I could go on and on. But, I am praying for everyone to heal, and keep faith and to stay strong in your values.
