And every day my heart hurts for those who have lost loved ones, or have seen their livelihoods fall apart. For as long as I can remember, my grandma has sent $50 to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital every year for Christmas. Instead of gifts this year, it felt right this holiday season to help those who have been affected by the pandemic. @serviceworkerscoalition is a grassroots nonprofit providing Covid relief to hospitality and service workers laid off during the pandemic. @nokidhungry advocates for children across the country to ensure that they can still be provided with meals as schools remain shuttered. @aafenyc has launched an emergency covid relief fund to help immigrant-run small businesses affected by the pandemic, with a focus on Chinatown, Flushing and Jackson Heights. @stjude aims to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
