She created the Joyful Heart Foundation as a response to the thousands of letters she received from survivors because of her role as Det. Olivia Benson on @nbcsvu — Mariska saw how desperate they were to be heard, supported and believed so she did just that. The #SuperIntelligence family is so happy to support their mission to end the rape kit backlog in our country and continue to transform society’s response to sexual assault through education and advocacy. Her documentary @iamevidencethemovie explores the shocking number of untested rape kits in the US and how we must work to change that narrative (plus, its available on @hbomax!) I learned so much from Mariska, in just a few short minutes and can’t wait to continue to learn more.
