A year ago, I pitched a movie to Hallmark based on my family’s tradition of turning our house into a Christmas spectacle. They liked the idea and thus began The Christmas House. I’m proud of this film. It’s fun, funny and has heart. The cast is fantastic and if you’re a fan of Christmas, you will not be disappointed. We go BIG. I want to give a big thank you to @kateredinger, @michellevicaryhc, @poperandy and everyone at Hallmark for giving me this opportunity and supporting the movie. Thank you @erin917 for being an awesome creative partner and writing a stellar script. Thank you @sharonelawrence @treat.williams2 @jonathandbennett @iamanaayora @bradharderarychuk for being the best pretend family I could have asked for. And a huge thank you to our amazing crew that worked incredibly hard to bring The Christmas House to life. You all rock. The Christmas House premieres Sunday the 22nd at 8pm on @hallmarkchannel. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
If your rice crispy treats aren’t the size of a 90’s cellphone you’re really missing out. #SelfCare
Because nothing says holiday magic like a grown man in a bedazzled cape. Don’t miss The Christmas House, now airing on @hallmarkchannel.
Picked up a little holiday flair for the yard.
Looking for a unique holiday gift? Look no further, friends. My super talent of a wife has been hand-making masks that are cool, comfy and for every mask sold she donates one to those in need. Check out her Etsy store, @dearheartmercantile to see all of her snazzy wares! ❤️ Repost from @jennywade • vulnerability time! so last April, i started sewing masks. i had the time, and a few materials, so i began filling my days this way, and donating in bundles to wherever i heard a need expressed. materials ran out. i looked to good friends for donations. anyone have a bag of t-shirts they don’t want? linen napkins? tablecloths? friends came through! i processed and donated all materials. then i thought, maybe i can give others a chance to help. the project was becoming bigger, and the need wasn’t slowing. so…i opened an Etsy store called @dearheartmercantile (vulnerable!!). i decided that for every mask i sold, i would donate one. so far, i’ve been able to donate 1400 masks (!!). i’ve felt really shy about telling anyone about it, so it’s sort of just been doing it’s own thing. but i’m hopeful maybe we can keep helping together. that’s what i’d like the most. i also do some other things there…refurbish mid-century furniture, gather vintage clothing & jewels… every single mask is handmade by me, at our kitchen table. i hope you like them. Opal hasn’t helped once. Rude. Link in bio. Thank you, dear hearts. ❤️

This. Is. Awesome. I loved @tvguidemagazine as a kid, so to be on the cover promoting a movie based on that little kid’s Christmas tradition is supremely cool. The Christmas House premieres this Sunday the 22nd at 8pm on @hallmarkchannel.
In honor of International Women’s Day I would like to celebrate this fantastic woman. She is strong, patient, big-hearted, whip-smart, crazy talented, hilarious and full of all the good stuff. I’m one very lucky fella. Happy #IWD to all of the women out there who make the world a better, brighter, happier place.
This is why I don’t work with bees.
Looking for a way to help support the Asian American community right now? Here are some good starting points. Repost from @kimsaira • An action resource plan for Asian Americans and allies, by @Annie_Wu_22 & I. Please share, repost amplify this! 〰️ Correction to the 7th slide: Amanda Nguyễn’s handle is @amandangocnguyen! 〰️ Ive gotten questions from people asking “Why talk about the attacks and Anti-Asian racism now? They have been happening for so long.” Well first of all, questioning the need to generate awareness for anti-Asian racism is problematic in itself. But secondly, its because hate crimes towards Asian Americans have risen by over 1900% in the last year. 〰️ Particularly this week. Its Lunar New Year today, a major holiday that multiple Asian countries celebrate, yet just last week, 5 hate crimes were made, back to back, against Asian Americans. You may not know about them because the media is failing to cover them. 〰️ Asian Americans are not silent. So many of us have been actively out here fighting anti-racism. But historically, we have always been silenced, which gives the incredibly false interpretation that all Asian Americans are passive & just do not care. 〰️ Read our history in America- read the history of the model minority myth, the 1854 hearing of People v Hall, 1886 hearing of Yick Wo vs Hopkins, to just name a few. 〰️ These are just some ways to start building safety & strength with our Asian American friends during a time where our Asian neighbors, relatives, family members, are getting hurt and killed. 〰️ Its so important that we get our voices out there- DO NOT BE SILENT, it only perpetuates this false stereotype about us. So PLEASE share this! And Xīnnián kuàilè / Happy Lunar New Year!!🙏🏽🐂✨
