Kelly McCreary Instagram – In the wake of the horrifying act of domestic terrorism in Atlanta this week, I am reminded of the insidious nature of racism, how no group of POC are untouched by it, and that we need to align our efforts into a single struggle for our collective freedom. I stand with my AAPI brothers, sisters and non-binary fam*, mourn with them, send my love and offer support. I also want take this moment to remember the context and history of anti-Asian racism in this country, with the hope that understanding the source of a problem can plant the seed of a solution. Maybe it’s news to you, or maybe it resonates as disturbingly similar to the systematic exclusion and oppression of other groups in this country.
