Y’all know I love to uplift Black women and girls all day every day, so you can imagine how much I’ve been looking forward to this… Today @blackgirlfreedomfund kicks off #BlackGirlFreedomWeek!! Today begins a week-long celebration of Black girls* (*Black cis and trans girls, Black gender expansive youth, and Black femmes) and what is possible when we invest abundantly in their dreams, their power, and their leadership, and work together to co-create a future where they are safe, free, and thriving. The team at @blackgirlfreedomfund chose this week during Black History Month in honor of Toni Morrison and Audre Lorde’s birthdays. There are lots of ways to participate in the week’s events by either watching on our website or their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page.
