Pavithra Janani Instagram – A strong emotion of wholesomeness is what I feel towards the wonderful #WeAreEqual initiative by @asianpaints and @startindia . #WeAreEqual aims at creating awareness about the stigma around AIDS and HIV that impacts survivors and their place in society. Times have changed; even if someone is diagnosed with HIV from birth with right medication and treatment they can live as long as the average person. But most of our perception towards survivors has not changed. People still find it hard to accept someone for who they are. With one step forward at a time, let us live and love this journey together with our warriors. Let us give and receive Love! ‘We Are’, the largest panoramic mural in India, that places the portraits of survivors alongside those who don’t have the disease tells us that everyone has their right for equal treatment in society.
