So today is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day. I’ve always found days like this to be a bit odd. They are a period to look back at how far I’ve come, personally, but an opportunity also to look around at the fantastic community that I have discovered since my injury. Wonderful charities such as @backuptrust @aspirecharity @spinal_injuries @hambofoundation do so much incredible work to demonstrate that living a fulfilled life is certainly possible after a spinal cord injury.
It can almost see in like an insurmountable goal initially after the injury but days like this help you remember that there is a community that will always lift you and inspire you to achieve great things.
