Maria Bello Instagram – This is my friend. No…not Joe. This is Amy Baker. A star among stars. She died yesterday after a long and hard fought battle with #breastcancer Amy took me into her closet the first time I met her. Literally, into her closet. We were at a fancy party in Sundance (which happened to be at her home) and we connected over our kids, and loves and life and shoes. She lit me up. Even in a room full of famous folks, Amy stood out with her steadiness, authenticity and pure joy. She was KIND. And made me feel i was ok and the world would be right. In that closet, we sat cross legged as she showed me her shoes. (I was bummed that I was a size nine and she was a ten, as she offered me every pair). She talked about her kids. And i talked about mine. “It’s hard loving so much “, I shared and she agreed. “And worth it”, she offered. “And what is life but a loving of the truth? So the truth is – just love”. The last time i saw Amy, she was wearing a hilarious and inspiring baseball cap with fake hair on it as her head was completely bald. “We still want to look good, don’t we? “ she asked. And we laughed. I’m working on not forgetting in these challenging times, all of my history and guides who have gone before me. Realizing that some folks who cross our paths create indelible marks on our souls. God Bless all of those who have passed before us who have shown Us the most beautiful US. Merci Amy. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
