Poornitha Instagram – I often wonder about how the word “Mother” means different things to different people. ‘Mother’ is a very very complex word for me, one filled with a plethora of emotions. Ofcourse everyone will say their mom is the best but my mom was truly the best in the entire world :) I had an amazing, strong, powerful and an absolutely beautiful soul for a mom who would move mountains for me. As I sit on my couch with my little Navya sleeping in my arms, all I can think of when I see her innocent and super cute face, is whether i would be a perfect mother to her. The kind of perfect that my mother was :) I’d consider Navya very very lucky if I was even just 10% of what my mother was to me. The person I still look up to, not just for mommy related things, but most importantly how to be a good human. From changing a zillion diapers a day to trying to put her to sleep, to handling her mood swings, to entertaining her, to crying in the bathroom because you feel you can’t do this anymore.. being a mom is not easy. Navya was a planned baby and despite that, I feel like I wasn’t ready to be a good mom by the time she arrived. Somehow after all that, when my cutie wakes up in the morning, flashes me her toothless smile, that’s all the energy I need to get up and be the best mom I can be for my little one :) Happiest 4th month on planet Earth to my little baby girl Navya :) I know her grandma is looking down and enjoying her grow up every single day. #kalyaniunfiltered #beingamom #vsco #vscocam Birmingham, United Kingdom
