Tak dapat bayangkan kesedihan refugees yg beraya serba kosong… tanpa rumah dan keluarga. This Ramadhan is a sombre one for me. As I grieve for my mum, I can’t help thinking about the lives of the children refugees who are now left defending for themselves. They lost their parents, their homes and they must have been waiting for that ray of hope every second of their lives. As I drove back from work tired, I complain less because at least I am blessed with a roof over my head. I looked at my children thinking how blessed they are, not having to worry about their needs. Let us remind ourselves each time we look at our iftar spread, what are the refugees breaking fast with? Where are the refugees breaking their fast?
