Bobby Lee Instagram – I moved to la in the late nineties and became a regular at the comedy store. My first spot was on a Thursday night and I had to follow the great Carl Labove. He was so dynamic on stage and he obliterated the room. I ate it so hard that it was traumatizing. I don’t know why but after I got off the stage, he pulled me aside and gave some advice. He told me that the original room was the toughest room in America and one day I will feel at home up there. He was right. We became friends and I would have dinner at his house when he lived in Los Feliz. I loved this man with all my heart. He was one of the best performers I’ve ever seen live and I learned so much from him. He passed away today and I’m devastated. RIP Carl Labove. @carllabove @thecomedystore
