On February 8th, 2020, one year ago today, an incredibly talented and hardworking collective of musicians called Family Company got together in Los Angeles and put on an astounding concert dedicated to the musical legacy of Ray Charles. My good friend Brian Starley of @bergatronmusic beautifully recorded (and later mixed) the performance. I was one of the many lucky people in attendance at the Teragram Ballroom that magical night. Of course, none of knew that would be one of the last concerts we would see for a long time…
