Joe Lo Truglio Instagram – The B99 family lost a dear friend, Transpo Co-Captain Joe Rose, to leukemia today. This photo is from our Season 5 finale. Joe was always smiling, always working, always happy to be with us. He talked about his grandkids and his children with such pride. We often chatted about whiskey, bourbon really, which we both loved. I introduced him to Basil Hayden. After I directed an episode, he gave me a cool-ass bourbon snifter that’s like a glass in a glass, so your fingers don’t touch the part the whiskey’s in, so it stays cool. Cool, like Joe was. I treasure it, use it often, and never put it in the dishwasher. Joe regularly asked about my comfort, my weekend, and my son. He was a rock whether we were behind or ahead of schedule. He was at the van door when it opened, welcoming me to set. He gently gestured to where it was waiting for us when I left. I never heard Joe yell, I never saw him angry. He knew what was important. I miss you already, Joe. I’m so grateful for the eight years we had you. You are loved and we’ll take it from here, buddy. ❤️
