One of my first television jobs ever was working on the set of the hit show “Empire”. I had the opportunity to sing this really fun song to Taraji in episode 3 of the series first season. We had such a great time on set laughing, singing and dancing It was such a short moment but it stayed with me. Some years later I starred on a television show with my late friend Bill Paxton. This picture would be the last time I saw him. We were given the opportunity to present an Image Award and Taraji won for “Hidden Figures”. When we walked backstage someone captured the beautiful moment of recognition we shared with this photo. We laughed about how awesome that day we spent having fun on Empire was and I could see how proud she was of me and I was also so proud and inspired by her. @tarajiphenson thank you for being such an awesome light in this industry I hope to work with you again someday and share more moments like this.
