Shannon Kook Instagram – The work behind the belt • It’s been a beautiful challenge training Taekwondo throughout the pandemic. Thank you to all the generous Vancouver stunt training partners and @teamonemartialarts for their fun outlook and work ethic. I really struggled to get this kick in my body, whereas other movements have felt more second nature to me – likely from my previous Karate and dance experience. But working outside of class time has been the most rewarding afterthought for me. I still feel like a beginner in so many ways and it’s so strange to see myself in a Brown belt now. But you can’t deny time and hard work. So here we are. Also, who’s watching out for Valentina Shevchenko’s back kick and Mortal Kombat this weekend? This guy 🙋🏻‍♂️
