Papa is one of the finest tea makers .. the best. Looking back I realise we practically lived in quarantine..Our bunglow was a solo bunglow amidst the tea estate , so quite that we could hear a car, bike approaching when it was kilometres away.TEA drinking was a ritual on the sprawling lawns& always a few cups- lightly brewed,no sugar no milk that’s how tea planters drink it. Evenings was always sports ..Every evening the families gathered at the club to play a game of cricket or football,tennis, badminton,..Papa was a sports lover great cricketer which he didn’t pick as a career because of it’s obvious reasons then . But he made us into real sporting kids. I owe him that .
