Sarah Paulson Instagram – PLEASE AMPLIFY EVERYWHERE. Quintin Jones is scheduled to be executed tonight, May 19th, in Texas. We have only hours to try and get Texas Governor Greg Abbott to grant a 30 day Stay of Execution so that Quintin’s legal team can continue the work of trying to save his life.

He, and tens of thousands of people across the country, are pleading for a reduction in his sentence, from death to life in prison. Yesterday the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles voted against granting him this clemency. In 2018, the board recommended such clemency for Thomas Whitaker, a white man, who’s plea for clemency was very similar to Quin’s, who is Black. This raises concerns that the Board’s decision was racially biased, warranting an investigation into their process.

Time is running out. Respectfully tag @governorabbott and request mercy. Quin is a man that takes full responsibility and has not been violent in 20 years. The victim’s family, also Quin’s family, is fighting for his life. They have forgiven him, love him and feel his death will only further contribute to their trauma.
