You are a legendary producer, a champion of artists and storytelling, who will forever be loved and forever remembered. From “painting the walls purple for me” to celebrating birthdays and accomplishments – new projects like My Sister’s Keeper that you made sure I could shoot, to college acceptances – you got me my first Columbia College gear, to college graduation and seeing each other once again at Jerry’s. You cared for my family in the most trying and personal times. You believed in me, and my talent, like no other. On set it was your humor, your wit, your “Ronisms” and your compassion that got us through our days with grit and levity. For me, you somehow managed to nurture the child that I was while always supporting the strong-willed, work-hungry, confidant, and opinionated colleague and collaborator that I was becoming. The greatest gift, however, was bringing together the village that raised me, “Our Medium Family.” In an industry where everything is so temporal, “Our Medium Family” stands the test of time. Like you said “there is much left for us to do together,” until then ‘I carry you with me, I carry you in my heart.’
