Evan Williams Instagram – Dear Creators (as I remind myself of this yet again):
Ignore ‘was’ and ‘will be’.
The job right now, is to ask, from where we are (with forgiveness, and forgiveness means letting go of never having a better past).. Ask ‘Why am I doing this?’ And don’t panic if there is no answer, just listen.
Take a walk. Look at the trees. Listen to music. Make love. Watch your favourite movies, read your favourite books. None of this as a diversion, but to listen for what moves you.
The kernel of truth in what moves you, is all that will ever move anyone else, because our trembling humanity is the same. Our ego is only ever living vicariously through us. It can only react to experiences, it can’t feel, inhabit, be inside of a moment.
So turn the ego to face the wall, and let it continue it’s fretting about ‘this means that’ and ‘what if’ and ‘oh my god’, and instead, take some time to feel into your love, and ask with the voice of a lover to their beloved (because we are both), ‘my dear little one, what is it you’re trying to say?’
