Michael Bearden Instagram – I first met Tony (Mr. Bennett) @itstonybennett in London. I was working at Royal Albert Hall with Liza Minelli as her pianist. (Yes, my career has been all over the place. ☺️ Blessed!🙌🏾)⠀ ⠀ Tony told me “that was some good piano playing man!” I was like, umm, you know you’re Tony Bennett? Lol 😆 ⠀ ⠀ Of course I said thank you and was quite flattered by the compliment. I wasn’t expecting that from the legend. He’s heard 1000’s of musicians. But, that’s just the kind of guy he is. ⠀ ⠀ What a treat it’s been to get to know him over the years and, quite the honor to be conducting the orchestra for him at Radio City Music Hall tonight, on his 95th birthday!⠀ ⠀ HBD🎉🎉 Tony!
