Ross Butler Instagram – This took me 3 months to finish. Between learning more about how charcoal works or how to draw realistic drops of water, I had to constantly take a step back. It was hard, which made it harder to get back to when I get discouraged. It got to the point where I couldn’t get anything done in my real life because I kept putting this off. I’m proud of how it turned out and proud of myself for finally pushing myself to finish. Reminds me that there are challenging things in life we are afraid of diving into and everything in our bodies are telling us not to go for it. But ironically, fear of failure is a human condition that scares us from experiencing more of what it means to be human. And this drawing will always remind me of that.
