Home Actress Dia Mirza Instagram Photos and Posts August 2021 Dia Mirza Instagram - I am pleased to share with you the #globalpremiere of the #award #winning Indian film ‘Flying Elephants’. Although considered sacred, elephants are being decimated across Asia. They are being poached, electrocuted, and their home is lost to the expansion of human settlements, agricultural fields, roads and railways. The film, inspired by the mythological Gajashastra and narrated in the Betta kuruba Tribal language, sheds light on these sensitive, emotional, and socially intelligent creatures that rightfully deserve their place in the natural world. Join me in celebrating this magnificent creature and share the film 🌏 A film by @prakashmatada, produced by @krithi.karanth supported by @cwsindia, @pramodjois and Team Flying Elephants #worldelephantday #flyingelephants #savethenaturalworld

Dia Mirza Instagram – I feel deeply grateful for being able to witness the glory, majesty, beauty and familial bonds of elephants…

Hope that everyone of us can discover how wonderful #Elephants are in every way possible. Let us ensure we protect these amazing creatures.

Do share with me 3 differences between the #AsianElephant and the #AfricanElephant?

Dia Mirza Instagram – I will never forget the first time i met these beautiful rescued elephant calves. They were so playful and naughty! Kept opening my shoe laces with their trunks 😬 the time spent with them had me smiling and bursting with love and joy 🤩

Let’s celebrate these incredible sentient beings today and every day😍 On this #WorldElephantDay pledge your support to protect and secure the #RightOfPassage to save our #Elephants.

Elephants are the gardeners of forests and have walked our Earth for Millenia but now because of human interference that has lead to fragmented forests, loss of forest cover, poaching, roads and highways our Elephants are in peril.

Remember every being we share this planet with must be protected to secure the balance of our fragile ecological system that in turn provides us humans with all that we need to survive. Clean Air, water, food, peace and health. 🌏🌳🌱💧🌈🐘

DYK – Elephants have deep family bonds. The herd is led by the matriarch (the female head of a family.) Calves are raised by the entire herd. When males are about 12 years old, they leave the herd to live on their own while the females stay with family herd. Females will often stay with their mothers their whole lives so elephants often become great-grandmothers.

Elephants are highly sensitive and caring animals, much like humans. If a baby elephant cries, the herd will touch and caress the baby with their trunks to soothe it. They are highly intelligent animals with complex emotions, feelings, compassion and self-awareness (elephants are one of very few species to recognize themselves in a mirror!).

Support organisations like @wildlifetrustofindia to help protect our National Heritage Animal the Elephant.
