They are being poached, electrocuted, and their home is lost to the expansion of human settlements, agricultural fields, roads and railways. The film, inspired by the mythological Gajashastra and narrated in the Betta kuruba Tribal language, sheds light on these sensitive, emotional, and socially intelligent creatures that rightfully deserve their place in the natural world.
