Ed Skrein Instagram – It was an honour to meet The Montford Point Marines last night at a @midwaymovie screening for servicemen and women in Washington, D.C. The Montford Point Marines were the first African-Americans allowed to enlist in the US Marine Corps, in 1942. They were not allowed to train with the white marines and instead trained at the segregated Camp Montford Point in Jacksonville, North Carolina. They had to fight just to fight and they were trailblazers for progress. Incredible men from an incredible generation.❤️ #montfordpointmarines | Posted on 30/Oct/2019 22:23:59
