Our indigenous communities have such valuable lessons on how to live in harmony with nature. A new paradigm must rise. And the influence of the ancestral peoples must be listened to. It’s not about who’s to blame. Most of us weren’t born and even our ancestors weren’t here. But we all benefit from this beautiful country that was taken by force and have stood by in ignorance or complacency while the original peoples suffer. It is our responsibility to support our indigenous communities. Fair governance. Cultural celebration and support. Equality. And how about clean water for f*cks sake? #happycanadaday
