This year has been beautiful. Even the dark side of the moon knows that it’s shadow is a temporary enigma that is reliant on light for it’s existence. The direction by which your back faces which will define your experience. – In 2020, I had dramatic failures whilst a surprising amount of success. Above all, I learned a lot. Amidst the beginning of “Covid” the studios shut down in L.A. I was also at the time very unhappy with certain personal affairs and circumstances, so I made a radical decision. I packed everything but 2 suitcases and my guitar in storage, gave up my house, jumped off the sinking ship and moved back to Europe while leaving my friends, family, and all comfort zones behind. I simultaneously got out of a relationship that was not serving my higher self, including the one I had with myself. I knew I was not prepared for such drastic change but that is the essence of change, discomfort, which is growth’s petri dish. I just knew I needed to move forward and have faith that I was being led with a nice balance between my heart and head. I am learning to not have tunnel vision with any particular direction. We can’t always manifest the terrain we drive on. Sometimes if we don’t learn to fly we fall, to swim we sink, and if we don’t learn how to sprint we get trampled. So I got a cape and became half Atlantean, half Tarahumara. In other words.. we have no control of circumstances, just our reaction to them. – I’m living in a Dr. Seuss book not because it’s all truffula trees and green eggs and ham but that’s how I choose to look at life. Crazy times we are living in now for sure but to think from 7000 years ago this civilization is still rippling it’s magic through the world is fantastical. I wonder how Cleopatra would react to today’s qualms. Makes me wish that “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” was a documentary. . A hidden gem in Costa Rica… @playacativolodge If anyone wants to have a luxurious getaway whilst leaving a light footprint and avoiding the pretension that most 5-star resorts boast about then look no further. We took a private boat from Golfito where we happened to see a mother and calf humpback whale to a private piece of jungle paradise. You are greeted with smiles and a papaya juice 🙂 We took a stroll down a secluded beach, hiked through the jungle to a majestic waterfall, visited their organic farm, went paddle boarding and lounged in our bungalow with our own fresh water pool. The staff became family, the food was prepared in heaven and we left saying, “how could it get better than this”. And the answer was.. it couldn’t get better. It could only be different. We will be back and I rarely say that about any place I stay because I love searching for new experiences, but this one really has to be revisited.. Thank you so much for your hospitality and treating @petiiii_s and I like family!
