When I was cast opposite her in “One Chance” it was incredible. It was so inspiring watching her work and we had a such a giggle on set together. Susan Wokoma – @susiewoosie12 So lucky to call this brilliant woman my friend. 10yrs of stella support, friendship and advice and now the world can see you shine. So proud. 🚀 Maxine Peake – @betteblavatsky As a young actress with a strong regional accent I’d watch Max over and over in Dinnerladies and Shameless and think.. THAT’S IT!! 🤩 In my 3rd year of RADA I was somehow given Max as a mentor. 🙏 Since then we’ve met for lots of coffees, supported each other and even worked together on ‘Private Peaceful’. As mentors go… I lucked out. 🍀 Matimba Kabalika – @Matimbak The first person to read my writing, believe in it and push me as a writer. Strongly suggest getting yourself one of these. “Taking a first step to allyship can be intimidating. We can feel frozen in place by the fear of getting it wrong… If it’s a choice about making a mistake and doing nothing… make the mistake. You will get it wrong, you are learning.” This book gives you the information you need to become a true anti racist ally. Getting this on your bookshelves is certainly the first step.
