Home Actress Angelina Jolie HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers September 2021 Angelina Jolie Instagram - This is a video I produced with the BBC’s @YaldaHakim for @BBCWorldService and @BBCNews – the first of many, I hope. I’m not a journalist. My passion has always been to shed light on issues relating to young people and to support them. I believe no woman should be forced to hide herself, but for their safety, the BBC has decided to obscure their images to protect their identities. As with all editorial content that appears under its name, the BBC has final editorial approval. We hope that by making these videos about those under 25 who are caught up in global conflicts, we will be connecting young people to each other and to the big stories that affect them. #Afghanistan #BBCNews #BBCWorldService

Angelina Jolie Instagram – Here’s a truth you may not know: As a young person, your rights have equal status to the rights of an adult. Not when you reach adulthood, or leave home, or get your first job, but now. Whoever you are, wherever you live – your life is of equal value to any adult, or any other young person on the planet.

Children have rights just as adults do and they should have the power and agency to claim them. Over the last couple of years I have been working with @amnesty and Geraldine Van Bueren QC on a book that aims to help young people do just this.

In the production of this book, I have been humbled to meet young people who have been fighting for rights for years. I’ll be speaking with a couple of them over Zoom today at 1830 BST/10:30 AM PST. Tap the link in my bio to register for the event or order the book online.

We hope that this guide, and the online series we are launching on @amnesty, will help many of you in knowing your rights and claiming them.

Angelina Jolie Instagram – I started working with displaced people because I believe passionately in human rights. Not out of charity, but out of a deep respect for them and their families, and all they continue to overcome, despite so much persecution, inequality and injustice.

Today, 1% of the world’s population – 82.4 million people – is displaced. That’s nearly twice as many as a decade before.

Some crises, like the war in Afghanistan, have lasted for decades.

Others, like the conflict in Ethiopia, are more recent.

They all have in common the violence and denial of rights that leave innocent families with no choice but to flee.

At which point will we be concerned enough to address the environmental devastation, conflict and human rights abuses that fuel these crises?

I’m always continuing to learn – if you’d like to join me, please visit the UN @refugees account.
