Decolonializing the heteropatriarchal gaze, the short film re-envisions an Asian story of gender and power dynamics, trans-species and transgender metamorphosis, and the all consuming nature of obsession. The film won many awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and the RED Epic Camera award at the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival at the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, Best Picture and Best Director at the London Fashion Film Festival, and Best Picture, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. It was featured in The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Muse Magazine, and in the forthcoming #TheGlobalWhiteSnake book by Liang Luo.
