Mary Steenburgen Instagram – I had the honor of doing two films with Charles Grodin. My Summer Story and Clifford. They were made back to back and so I had a nice long stretch of time where I had the pleasure of seeing him each day. Working with him was like dancing with a charming time bomb. You never knew when it would explode and you couldn’t take your eyes off it for a second. He was utterly connected to his fellow actors in every scene. He and Marty Short in Clifford are one of the strangest and most hilarious duos in any film I have ever been a part of. We had so many truly delicious days of laughter on that weirder than weird film. He is probably know for his anger and explosiveness on screen but I will remember him for his sweetness. He was a lovely man. My love to his cherished family.
