My twin brother @brycedessner and I shared a room until we were 18. We were inseparable as kids …learning to play instruments together, playing on the same sports teams and spending long hours exploring the woods behind our house. It was an idyllic childhood so it came as a shock when we were 16 that I developed a fairly serious depression. Seeing the change that had come over me and my decline, Bryce refused to let me fall and did everything he possibly could to pull me out of it. I was lucky to have him right there. I wrote “Brycie” with help from our sister @jess_dess as a love letter to thank him for looking after me then and now. Michael Brown made this beautiful video that incorporates some photos from our childhood. Like this entire album, it’s deeply meaningful to me.
