Blair Redford Instagram – My father died two weeks ago. Typically I resist displaying anything too personal on social media. After reflection it seems essential though. He’s part of my foundation. His words and teachings pointed me to the man I became. The achievements I have are steeped in that guidance. I just think he’s extraordinary. Attempting to list my father’s merits won’t be accomplished here. But from a son’s point of view, picking a few random cards from the deck: …I’ll never forget what he taught me about honor,… He was a man with an immeasurable imagination and creativity (I pray a fraction was successfully passed to me),… To say he made me and my brother’s childhood magical is a mammoth understatement -About the time most dads were making tree houses in the neighborhood my father spent 2 years designing and building a full-scale spaceship to play in (equipped with cockpit, weapons room, lounge and science laboratory). We would check the onboard computer often to find “New Missions” listed. To have been paired with a father of this ilk, I was truly blessed. *No condolences are necessary. I write this not for recognition of his death -but life. Fathers day is tomorrow and his birthday 2 days after. I’ll miss him… But a man of his code with such a clear voice in life, I think if you listen, can still be heard quite easily in death. So I will.
