Justin Baldoni Instagram – #throwback to the year 2009. 25 and heartbroken. I shaved my head to release the toxic energy and pain from my previous relationship. I was depressed. Could barely pay my rent. I was listening to any sad song I could find on repeat. I felt lost and directionless. I had made other peoples opinions of me the measure of my worth and couldn’t get an acting job to save my life. I was exhausted. I was tired of being co dependent. Tired of being the man everyone else thought I should be. I was tired of performing. I wrote #manenough for this guy in this picture and to anyone who has ever felt lost. I wish these conversations were happening back then. That I had a place to go and show up as the broken, beautiful, perfectly imperfect man I was and am today. So here’s to be not just man enough but human enough today and every day of the year. Wherever you are, whatever you are going through please remember (and I am saying this to my 25 year old self and 37 years old self as well)…YOU ARE ENOUGH.
