Spencer Paysinger Instagram – Felt uneasy coming back for the 10-year SB reunion. Honestly, I’ve long questioned if friendships built in sports really do stand the test of time. Considering the many different backgrounds found in locker rooms, there’s no way I’m friends with some of these guys if football didn’t set us on early paths that would eventually cross. 10 years removed from the moment that tied us together forever, I was definitely in my head about seeing a lot of guys that are [respectfully] strangers to me now. I’ve always kept up with @markherzlich @henryhynoski and @princeamukamara and know guys like @trthomas24 @therealjustintuck91 and @VictorCruz are one text or DM away but most of the rest?… Strangers Until I walked into the hotel and saw a handful of my guys. All uncertainty dissipated when I let the hugs, handshakes, and smiles speak for me. Falling back into the familiar energy that never left us, I’m glad I saw those ugly faces and can confirm they are without a doubt my friends, teammates, and brothers forever. But overall, I’m gladder (yup, gladder) the reunion gave me a moment to love on 22-year old rookie Spencer. I often discount my past experiences because I’m too focused on what’s next but SpittyP went through fire for me to stand on his shoulders today. I’m working on not leaving him in the past anymore…thanks therapy.
