This sentence was the key element for this look and it was the first thing Ru said as I turned the corner to walk the runway! Michelle got the festival reference spot on (so don’t know why she contradicted herself by saying she didn’t get it) & what you didn’t see was Graham tell me this was a strong look. Despite all of that, I do take all of the judges criticism on board because it was deserved. With any more money of course there would have been a reveal and my makeup was rushed as I spent ALL of my time working on the design look just to get it finished so overall, yes this could have been presented so much better & I’ve only myself to blame. Having said that, I’m really happy with what I presented on the runway. I went for a fashion silhouette for a change & felt that adding extra bells and whistles would make it too costumey. It took me, @fantasyqween & @jennydeedesign weeks to find a pair of heeled wellies to shut up the ‘not wearing flats on drag race runway brigade’ & I adore my little orphan Annie hair by @florencias_wigs. This was my very first piece worn by a fashion designer too so I guess I’m now cursed to only wear my own creations 😂.
Made from 2 actual sleeping bags, I absolutely love this look by @freakcouturemcr thanks for helping me out when I was (as @nicolacoughlan said – “Strapped for cash”)
